Preparing for Your Transformation Session

These sessions are more involved than a standard portrait appointment. Many include body painting, styling, props, and careful posing, so a little preparation in advance makes the experience smoother and the final images stronger.

If you are unsure about anything, please ask before the day of the session. It is much easier to plan ahead than improvise once we begin.

Before the session

  • Please confirm or reschedule as early as possible. Many sessions involve advance setup and preparation.
  • Get a good night’s sleep if you can. These sessions can take time, and being rested helps.
  • If you have inspiration images, color ideas, or concepts you love, feel free to send them ahead of time.
  • If you are deciding between clothing, props, or styling options, ask in advance rather than guessing.

Skin and body preparation

  • Please arrive with clean skin and avoid heavy lotions, oils, shimmer products, or anything that may interfere with body paint.
  • If shaving or other skin preparation is relevant to the session, it is best done early enough that the skin is calm by the time you arrive.
  • If you have sensitive skin or concerns about products, please let me know ahead of time.

What to bring

  • Bring any agreed clothing, accessories, or props we have discussed in advance.
  • You are welcome to bring a simple outfit for a few more straightforward portraits before or after the more elaborate work.
  • If shoes will be visible, bring clean ones.
  • Bring anything you may want for touch-ups or comfort during a longer session.
  • Some concepts involve body painting or minimal clothing, but this is discussed in advance and always handled according to your comfort level.

During the session

  • Most clients are not professional models, and that is completely fine. I will guide you through posing and expression.
  • Some setups take time, especially when painting or styling is involved. The pace is often slower than a typical photo session.
  • If something feels uncomfortable, please say so. The best work happens when the process feels collaborative and safe.

Questions are welcome

If you are unsure what to wear, what to bring, or how the session will work, please ask in advance.
